Massive Radiological Events Not Covered

June 17th, 2018

With all of these volcanoes blowing their tops I thought I’d take a peekyboo at my insurance policy to see what kind of coverage i have. Not a feelgood out of the box, right on the first page it states: We insure for accidental direct physical loss or damage to the property covered except loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by any of the following:

  1. War, including:

  2. undeclared war

  3. civil war

  4. insurrection

  5. rebellion

  6. revolution

  7. warlike act by a military force or military personnel

  8. destruction, seizure or use for a military purpose; or

  9. any effect of any of these.

Discharge of a nuclear weapon will be deemed a warlike act even if accidental.

Well now that Don. Kim, and Dennis have had their nuclear missile confab I guess I don’t need to worry about my insurance coverage or lack thereof. I was hoping I’d at least be covered for a civil war with a $150 deductible, but nooo. However I am covered if my bouncy castle blows away.

Gunga Galunga,
Garry
