My mailbox is filled everyday now with holiday catalogues as I would imagine yours is. Most of these catalogues go right from the mailbox to the recycling bin. However, I do like to thumb through Sharper Image’s offerings and will share with you some of the more “interesting” items they are offering this year. There are always a lot of hand and feet warming/massaging devices. A pair of Heated Slipper Socks goes for $119.99. I like my socks like I like my conversation and turkey sandwiches…heated. If socks are too pedestrian for you to give how about the Double Chin Reducing Massager for $89.99 or the Video Camera Bird Feeder with built-in sensors to detect, identify and record up to 10,000 species of birds…risselty, rasselty, now now now. $199.99. My favorite thing to see in these specialty catalogues is the “personal massager.” Some of these catalogues go bold and actual label the items as sex toys in between pages of Tiki Torch Outdoor Bluetooth Speakers and The Wireless Mail Alert System. Sharper Image is a little more subtle with their Lelo Personal Massagers shaped like, you guessed it. Lelo Elise is purple and 8.7″ for $199.00 and Lelo Gigi is pink and 6.5″ for $149.00. Abbie from Brooklyn is quoted in the ad saying “great design and features.” I’ll bet. Wouldn’t a Lelo under the tree this Christmas be special, but please, please don’t put it near the Nativity scene. That’s an infamnia.
