I don’t do politics because I find zero joy in it, in fact I think it’s soul crushing.
However just for a minute here can we put our party affiliations aside and just for shits and giggles have some fun with Robert Mueller? Okay good. Is RM one of those guys who doesn’t like a project to end. Do you know someone like this, maybe a friend who started remodeling his house and 5 years later there’s still a sawhorse in his living room or that person who started rebuilding a car 7 years ago and half the parts are still on the garage floor? Mueller took almost 2 years in his investigation and I don’t know if that’s too long because it was pointed out to me that the Watergate dealio took around 3 years, but that came to a solid conclusion. This Mueller report is still being tossed around and his appearance before congress didn’t seem to help. He answered some questions but didn’t want to answer a lot of others and almost everyone agreed that he didn’t come off as polished as he is usually portrayed. And then I got to thinking that he reminded me of the character Peter Sellers played in the movie Being There, Chance. Chance was a gardener who lived in the townhouse of a wealthy employer for his entire life and educated only by television. When his boss dies Chance wanders the streets holding a remote control thinking if he doesn’t like what’s in front of him he can change it with the remote. Through some quirk of fate he is embraced by high society and he proceeds to regale these upper crusters with his gardening wisdom because they all think he spewing some great philosophy when he really is only talking about a back hoe. One of the pearls from Chance was “as long as the roots are not severed, all is well. And all will be well in the garden.” The ongoing catchphrase in the movie is “I like to watch.” Yeah, I don’t like seeing government made so I used my remote control during the Mueller hearings and changed the channel. Told you….zero joy.
At least with Family Feud you get this gem: “name a vehicle that’s permitted to speed”
Ans. “airplane!”
Gunga, galunga,
